Snap-On Smile Cost

Also known as snap-on veneers, a Snap-On Smile fits right over your teeth and can dramatically enhance your smile. It’s made of a thin, non-toxic material known as duracetal, and is a cosmetic partial denture that is designed to improve the appearance of your teeth.

The purpose of the Snap-On Smile is to hide any teeth imperfections, such as stained or missing teeth, gaps between teeth, and teeth that are crowded or gummy when smiling. The great thing about this cosmetic dental appliance is it’s painless, comfortable, reversible, and you can leave it in when you are eating or drinking.

Is the Snap-On Smile a Good Choice for Me?

A Snap-On Smile could be right for you if you are interested in trying out a new smile without committing to expensive veneers or permanent changes to your teeth that could degrade over time. This could ultimately cost you more money as you’ll need to continue to dental treatments to maintain your smile.

You could also benefit from the use of a Snap-On Smile if you are going through the process of installing dental implants but need a temporary fix for gaps in your teeth, or if you are unable to get dental implants or other work done to correct your smile due to a previous medical condition.

If you’re looking for a low-maintenance smile, this appliance is a great option for you. By simply soaking it in a cleaning solution for fifteen minutes and brushing away debris, you can have the bright white smile you’ve always wanted. We also recommend using antibiotic drops in the pockets of the teeth each time you would like to wear your new smile.

Price Expectations

You cannot order a Snap-On Smile online. They are built specifically for your mouth and must be fitted by your dentist over a period of a few weeks. Your dentist will begin by making impressions of the teeth your new smile will cover and then proceed with any adjustments. At this point, they’ll also show you how to place and care for them.

Each arch of your teeth will cost approximately $1,200, or $2,400 total. This will cover your entire mouth. If you are interested in a partial smile, you can discuss that with your dentist. These prices can vary depending on your dental provider. You might qualify for financing options and other payment plans based on your situation. This can be discussed during an initial consultation.

Because a Snap-On Smile is considered a cosmetic procedure, it is very likely that your dental insurance will not cover the costs associated with obtaining one. Your insurance plan will likely only cover medically necessary procedures. However, you can speak with your insurer and our office to determine how much, if any, will be covered by your health insurance provider.

The purchase of a Snap-On Smile also comes with an option of including a one- or three-year warranty. This will not cover damage done by improperly inserting them or failing to care for them correctly, but it will cover problems stemming from the materials or build of the smile.

Snap-On Smile FAQ

If you’re interested in getting a Snap-On Smile, you probably have many questions that have yet to be answered. This is why we’ve included some of the questions our patients have had in regards to their Snap-On Smiles below. If your question still hasn’t been answered, get in touch with your dentist for more in-depth information about your particular situation.

How long does it take to install my Snap-On Smile?

Before anything else, you will need to see your dentist to determine whether you are a good candidate for a Snap-On Smile. If your dentist believes it could be a good fit for you, they can make an impression of your teeth the same day and have it sent out to custom-make your Snap-On Smile. It takes only a few weeks to develop.

Once ready, you’ll go in for a second appointment with your dentist to be fitted for the dental appliance. Some adjustments may be made at this time to ensure proper fit and comfort, but overall, you should be able to leave this appointment with your new Smile.

Will the procedure be painful?

Not at all. Taking impressions of your teeth will be virtually painless, though it might be slightly uncomfortable. Once your Snap-On Smile has been custom-made based on the impressions taken of your mouth, your new smile will snap right over your existing teeth or gums and will be painless to wear and remove for cleaning.

If you do experience pain while wearing your Snap-On Smile, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with your dentist to ensure proper placement and fitting. In some instances, your Snap-On Smile may need to have some adjustments so it doesn’t continue to cause you pain or discomfort.

How long does the Snap-On Smile last?

You can expect your Smile to last for anywhere from three to five years. If you want to prolong the life of your Snap-On Smile, you need to be sure to take good care of it by following the appropriate treatment instructions. This includes taking it out and cleaning it with your toothbrush and a special cleaning solution every day.

You can also extend the life of your Snap-On Smile by making sure to remove it when you are sleeping or eating so it doesn’t become stained or fractured by difficult-to-chew food or by teeth grinding at night.
